In recognition of Highland Terrace's efforts to raise food for Hope Link, the King County Sheriff Department's Rescue Helicopter landed on the Highland Terrace playground. Students met the pilots and had their photos taken in front of the very impressive helicopter! Thank you to all the families that helped us with our Hope Link food drive. |

Ms. Tencate had a lot of holes punched in her Walk-a-thon card! Students and staff succeeded in going beyond our school goal for laps and helped earn money to support ASB activities. Well done Orcas! |

Students, parents, and staff from Highland Terrace volunteered their time and energy to remove invasive plants and garbage from the urban forest bordering our school. A great THANK YOU to the 60 folks who turned out to help. We are also very appreciative of Ballard Tree Service for providing a free wood chipper and a truck as well as a team of men to help with chipping and loading. The urban forest is a great resource for our school and community. |
