Manners are a form of showing love for your neighbors. Polite children are well liked and respected by other students and adults. They are given more opportunities. Impolite children are disliked and are open for teasing by others. They also will have less self-confidence. Good manners are just good human relations. Being polite is right, it makes people feel cared about and important.
Remember, manners are caught, not taught. Training a kid helps, but it is more important to be a good role model yourself. Kids copy what they see. If they are around polite people they will be more polite.
You have to be a friend, to have a friend. To be a friend, you have to be polite.
