Lake Forest Park Elementary School

About Us

Lake Forest Park Elementary, located in the northeastern portion of the Shoreline School District, has an enrollment of 400 students in grades K-6.

The school, near the western shores of Lake Washington, serves this suburban community and celebrates strong parent support, a talented community of educators and a climate of high expectations in a caring, developmentally focused program. The school includes a special education program.

Among the many activities at the school are the Junior Great Books program and the annual PTA-sponsored Science Night for families.

Principal

Aimee Miner has been selected as principal of Lake Forest Park Elementary beginning July 1, Superintendent Sue Walker announced. The appointment was approved by the Shoreline School Board at its March 16 meeting.

Aimee worked as a third and fourth grade teacher in the Highly Capable program at Meridian Park School from 2000 to 2002. Before that, she was a K-8 computer specialist at the American International School in Vienna, Austria and a second and fifth grade teacher in the Edmonds School District.

She is completing her principal and administrative certificate in the University of Washington’s Danforth Program this year. She previously earned a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Seattle Pacific University and a bachelor’s degree in Education from Western Washington University.

She attended Lake Forest Park Elementary, Kellogg Middle School, and Shorecrest High School as a student. Aimee and her husband, Paul, have a son and daughter. Welcome letter from principal.
