Latin American Festival
On November 18, all kindergarten, first and second grade students danced, sang and twirled to a Latin rhythm. Briarcrest’s “K-2 Latin American Celebration” was a huge success! It featured our young learners dancing to music and singing songs from various Latin American countries. This celebration was part of Briarcrest Elementary’s Performing Arts Program. Behind the scenes, students at all grade levels were involved in creating props, sets and costumes for the performance. Older students researched and wrote reports about Latin American countries and then displayed their facts and pictures. Technology clubs took photographs and recorded the comments of the audience. We also had wonderful community support with families pitching in to help where needed. The end result was a joyful community event.
