The Wizard of Oz
“Follow the yellow brick road! Follow the yellow brick road!” Briarcrest Elementary’s 5th and 6th grade students are doing just that as they perform the story The Wizard of Oz, February 16 and 17. We meet the Munchkins of Munchkinland as well as the citizens of Emerald City. Of course, the Wicked Witch is up to her old tricks with her army of Winged Monkeys. All of our other favorite characters are there as well; Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man, Scarecrow and others. Every student at Briarcrest was once again involved with some aspect of this production from painting the sets and designing the invitations, to planning the cast’s celebration party. The music is lively and the dancing superb. Enjoy a wonderful voyage, “somewhere over the rainbow”.

The play was wonderful! I think that it was even better than last years. The children were so professional it was hard to remember that they are in elementary school. Great Job Briarcrest!
The Wizard of OZ is so good.The 5th and 6th graders do a fantastic job!They used great expresion!It seems like they never messed up.it's so amazing how they did 2 plays,and do really good.The play was terific.

The Wizard of oz is a great! My comment is that its amazing how in one practice in one day. What i like the best thing is there experation.

This is a very impressive play. The fifth and sixth graders do an amazing job. Every one did a great job and the lines were perfectly memorized. Great job you guys!

The sets were wonderful. Great job set design team!
My three year old was mesmerized!! He never sits still and he was glued to his seat for the entire performance. Can I take you all home with me so I can get some work done around the house....LOL. Anyway, great job to you all!!!!!!
I thought the play was very good. The 5th and 6th graders did a wonderful job! It was just like the movie. The play was fantatic.
