My log is on Huckleberry Finn written by Mark Twain. The characters are...
Huck, Jim, Pap, Tom Sawyer, Miss Watson, Widow Rankin, Judge Thacher, Aunt Polly, Aunt Sally,
The Grangerfords, The Duke, Bilgewater and The Late William's brothers and daughters.
This book is mainly about Huck and the escaped slave Jim who is really free and there trip down the
Mississippi river. Though it was not intended to have so many adventures along the way. Originally
when the book stared he was just leading a plain life even though he had tons of money. But then his Pap came along and Huck gave up all his money. But he ran away when his dad started getting drunk
often and made it look like he had been killed. Then on the way he met Jim and the two had a few unintentional adventures. That was until they met the Duke and Bilgewater. Who made Huck and
Jim help scam people. In one town the Duke and Bilgewater were doing another scam but later on get captured. But when Jim was captured Huck went to save Jim but ends up impersonating Tom. But soon
runs into the real Tom. But because tom liked adventure he decided to help Huck. So if you want to know what it ends like you have to read the book.
I rate this book a 5.

Hope’s Revolutionary War Diary

By: Kristiana Gregory

In this story, a Patriot girl named Hope is living in a time of the Revolutionary War. Her father is at war on the Patriot’s side. Now her brother, Ethan is the only man in Hope’s house. Yet Ethan proclaims that their father is a Tory or a trader. So he decides to run away to become a Tory as well. Hope and her mother are sad and scared. So for safety and protection, Hope’s family decides to move to Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, where their cousins are living. Mean while, Ethan isn’t the only problem in the story, for Hope’s best friend, Polly is a royalist. This means that her family supports the king of England. Later in the story, Ethan’s friend writes a letter back to Hope’s mother, saying that the Redcoats (Royalists) have caught him and that the Redcoats think that he is a spy. Hope and her family hope that Ethan will return soon. If I could rate this book 1-5 stars, I would give it a 5 because I think that this is very good book and I would recommend this book to people who like who like reading about American History.

Boston Jane: An Adventure is an awesome historical fiction book about a tomboy girl whose favorite pastime is spitting on people’s hats and lobbing rotten apples at passing carts. The trouble officially begins when William, Jane’s dearest friend, moves away to Shoalwater Bay in the Oregon Territory and proposes to Jane. Then, Jane has to deal with bad luck on a ship, inappropriate (and sometimes drunk) men, and the death of friends. Boston Jane: An Adventure is an enchanting read, which will give you the desire for the other 2 books in the series! I rate this book 4 and 99/100 out of 5.

The Sign of the Beaver is an awesome historical fiction novel. Matt, the main character, is a very brave boy. He spends the night in the cold scary wilderness where there are wild Mountain Lions. Matt is a really good builder. He builds a spruce wood log house with his dad. He gets left in the wilderness for several months while his dad goes back to Boston to get the rest of the family. When his dad gets back his mom says that she’s going to have a baby. I would rate this book a 2 because it was a little hard to read and I don’t really enjoy history.

The Year of
Miss Agnes
Genre: Historical-fiction
Summary: The book The Year of Miss Agnes is an excellent historical-fiction book by Kirkpatrick Hill. In this remote Alaskan one-room school, teachers don’t stay long. When Miss Agnes comes to Alakaket, you’ll start to feel happier. She is a wonderful teacher who threw out all of the textbooks and read Robin Hood instead. You’ll have to read the book in order to find out if Miss Agnes stays or not. I rate this book a 4 out of 5.-Ellie, rm. 23

So if he gets 20 demerits in a month he gets expeled. So he has to use his great brain to make sure his money loving heart does not get him expeled. So read the book to get in on all of his money making ventures. I rate this book a 9. Oh and to tell you I could not decide if it goes in historical fiction or humor.
