Briarcrest PTA Welcomes You!!
The Briarcrest Parent Teacher Association is working to make Briarcrest a more interesting and exciting place for your student and your family through a variety of projects and services. We invite and welcome all families to become PTA members and support the programs we have available. The PTA monthly Board Meetings are open to all members. We also have general membership meetings at least four times a year. These meetings are a great way to meet others involved in your school community, learn about what the PTA is doing, and find out how you might want to help. Watch the school reader board and PTA newsletter – Paw Prints – for more information on meeting dates and times. Free childcare is provided. If you would like more information, contact any PTA Board member by calling the school, 368‑4170, or send a note in care of your child's teacher. We look forward to meeting you!
This year the PTA is especially proud to support three growing and important programs: Math Olympiad, Science Night, and Performing Arts. The PTA also supplies funding for school field trip buses, provides for monthly student assemblies bringing in artists, performers, scientists, dancers and more, supports the school emergency preparedness program, provides grants for every classroom teacher and specialist to supplement District classroom funds, puts on fun-filled family social events like the Harvest Festival, Ice Cream Social, and Sock Hop, and sponsors community service projects like a food drive, holiday baskets, and emergency clothing. In addition, the PTA represents Briarcrest at State and National PTAs, which lobby year-round on behalf of children’s issues.
