Meet our Principal, Bob Koontz

Welcome all new and returning students to Briarcrest. You are fortunate to be enrolled in a school dedicated to students - their academic achievement and their social maturation. I feel fortunate to be your principal this year and am very pleased to be able to experience the rich diversity present at Briarcrest.

I have been in education for 35 years and have spent the past 26 years as an elementary school principal. I tried to retire five years ago, but keep coming back to work with children, teachers, and parents.

My wife is also an elementary school principal in Shoreline and we have four children and two grandchildren. When I'm not working I enjoy working on home projects, inside and outside our home, traveling to warm sunny places, and watching my son's soccer matches.
