Interesting Facts:When Louis was a child, his parents paid little attention to him. Once he nearly drowned in a pond because no one was watching him. The kitchens at Versailles were a long way from Louis's quarters. Servants formed a procession to deliver his enormous meals, which sometimes arrived cold. Along the way, people responded to the cry "The Kings' meat!" by bowing to the food. After Louis's death in 1715, doctors discovered that his stomach was twice the size of a normal person's. |
