Daily Reading Practice
General Overview

Purpose:
Students should have the opportunity to read and think about what they have read. Riddles are fun ways to read a little and think a lot. With practice riddles are fun to solve. Pay close attention to the words and the subtle meanings. Think out of the box!

At the end of the week the answers to the previous weeks riddles will be emailed to those participating. When you know the answer, don't tell! Let the next person have to figure it out, just like you did! Have fun, and read!

Time Management
Some riddles will come easy, others will have to be read and reread.

How to Use this Daily Reading Practice
Read the riddle, silently, out loud. Talk about the words. Think about the meanings. Use a dictionary if necessary. Sometimes it will the answer clue will be a word's secondary meaning--other times it will be a play on word.
