Teacher-Librarian – Frank Kleyn

IMG_1335Welcome to the Highland Terrace Library! Students use the library to find resources and develop the information literacy skills they will use throughout their lives. Staff and parents turn to the library to find books and technology that will support classroom curriculum or books that will guide their professional or parenting efforts.

I received a BA in English and a BA in Communications from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Prior to teaching, I worked as an advertising director for a book distributor, and spent two summers as a technical writer at Microsoft. My teaching certificate and library media specialist certificate were both earned at the University of Washington. From 1994-2002 I was a classroom teacher and technology specialist, and began my career as a librarian in 2003. My family and I enjoy living in Shoreline and exploring the Northwest.

I hope that you feel welcomed and inspired when you use our library.
