Third Grade Supply List

2009-2010

Dear Families,

         Welcome to an exciting year of learning.  We look forward to working with our new classes!  Please check with your child monthly to see if pencils, pens, etc. need to be replaced.  When appropriate, label items and clothing. An important component of the program is having the materials for learning in the right place at the right time.  We ask parents to supplement the supplies provided by the school.  If the expense is a burden to you, please contact your child's teacher or the principal for other arrangements.  Parents can help their children by providing these tools for learning.

·      Pencils, No. 2 -start the year with at least 24 (We suggest Dixon Ticonderoga)

·      1 large box of facial tissue

·      2 Sanford Magic Rub erasers

·      1 box of Crayola colored pencils (12 set)

·      1 box wide tipped Crayola washable felt pens

·      Scissors, sharp Fiskar type, engrave with child's name

·      3 Mead composition books, wide-ruled, 100 pages, sewn edge,

9 3/4 x 7 1/2" size

·      Pencil/supply box

·      1 peechee type folder

·      3 folders: 2 pocket with prong

·      crayons (optional)

·      1 highlighter

·      1 pad Sticky Notes, 3"x3" or larger

·      4 large glue sticks, Avery brand (not O'Glue)

·      1 12” standard/metric ruler (sturdy)

·      1 container Clorox disinfecting wipes

·      Backpack, labeled with name
