Attendance

ATTENDANCE:

Please call the school office if your student will not be at school due to illness. If we do not hear from a parent/guardian, we will call home and work numbers to determine why a student is not in class.

Regular attendance is very important for student learning, however, if your student has an above normal temperature or is obviously ill, please keep him/her home.

TARDIES:

Students should be seated and ready to learn at 8:35 am.

Students arriving to school tardy should report to the office and get a pass to take to their teacher. We issue the pass to the student as part of our safe arrival/attendance procedures. Please send a note with your student stating the reason for the tardiness if possible.

RELEASE OF STUDENTS EARLY:

Students will not be released to any person other than the registering parent or guardian, unles authorized by the parent.

Adults entering the building must come to the office to pick up children for early dismissal. TEACHERS WILL NOT RELEASE STUDENTS DIRECTLY FROM THE CLASSROOM.

LATE PICK-UP AFTER DISMISSAL:

Any student remaining at school after 3:15 pm, who is not in a supervised activity, will be taken to the After School Daycare in Portable 1. Parents may pick their child(ren) up there. There is a minimum fee of $10.00 up to the first hour for each child. Every 15 minutes after the first hour, there is an additional $5..00 charge per child.
