The school and community have supported this tradition for
over thirty years and the Highland Arts program has never
been in better shape.
Pipe Band
is offered as a music course during the regular school day,
instructed by Pipe Major Kevin Auld. Many of the students
also participate in a pipe band outside of school, the Northwest
Junior Pipe Band. This group is open to kids 8 to 18
in the Shoreline School District and beyond.
The Highland
Dancers, also known as the "Lassies" are an ASB club
and meet weekly. They also attend group lessons with Karen
Shelton School of Highland Dance and are active and successful
in regional dance competitions.
The Pipe Band and Dancers lead the award-winning Shorecrest
Highlanders marching band, traveling to parades and festivals
locally, nationally and internationally.
These groups work in tandem, performing at school related
functions, sports events and private events as well. If
you would like to book the Pipe Band or Highland Dancers
at your next event, please contact
us.
