While teachers may choose to update their on-line more frequently, this year teachers are required to update grades monthly on the following dates. The pattern is essentially the last working day of the month to make it easy to remember. Most Shorewood High School teachers will be posting grades directly on their website using Easy Grade Pro Software. Your password to access your student's grades is your student's ID number plus the number of zeroes at the beginning to form an eight digit code as illustrated in the sample below. Your actual passwords will soon be mailed. Teacher’s Website (grades for the teacher’s class) http://schools.shorelineschools.org/shorewood/Academics/staffpages/index.php To log in , use last name and student ID: (sample only) Last Name Your Students ID number : (sample only) 00045678 However, some teachers will be piloting a more comprehensive information system linked to the grade book called Family Access. Family Access will show your student’s attendance, schedules, report card grades, fees and fines, food service balances, etc. All families may access the general information in the family access system. Family Access grading is only accessible if your student is enrolled with the following pilot teachers at this time: Stacey Carr John Hendrix Lori Chase Andrew Hershey Danver Halbert Maureen Setterberg John Hammond Michael Zadra Paul Harshman Since students and parents have access to confidential information through the Family Access system it is important that parents guard their passwords and do not allow students to use them. Parents should not give the Parent password to their student since parents have the ability to add and delete some information in the Family Access system. The student password will enable the students to view information without changing it. These credentials are created solely for the parent. If you willingly share your credentials with anyone else and allow them access to the protected and sensitive information, you thereby waive your rights under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99). Click here to reach the Shorewood Family Access Home Page. A letter mailed near the beginning of each school year includes your personal confidential passwords to access online information about your student’s attendance, grades, etc. Please keep it in a secure location. We sincerely believe that you will find it easier to track your student’s school performance on line on a more regular basis while we continue to provide written reports at the quarter and the semester. If you have any questions or problems accessing your students grades, please do not hesitate to contact the school. Thank you for your support of your student. Sincerely, Bill Dunbar
