CLASS BACKDROP DECORATING COMPETITION

 

SIZE:                         1.  Backdrop size is 18Õ long x 11Õ high

                                                    Add 1 ft. to the top for securing to pole.

 

THEME:                    1. ÒWELCOME TO WONDERLANDÓ.

                                                                                               

MATERIALS:          1.  Can include paint and paper from the supply room.

                                    2.  Nothing permanent can be placed on walls, such as paint, etc.

                                    3.  Due to ecological thinking and safety, no paper can be put on

                                                bleachers

                                    4.  Handrails may be decorated.  Decorations cannot block the view of

                                                the spectators.

                                    5.  For safety reasons the only device of electrical nature that is allowed is holiday lights

                                    6.  Again, for safety reasons, nothing can be hung or suspended from

                                                the ceiling or basketball hoops.  Streamers are OK from the

                                                ceiling.

                                    7. Each class will be responsible for roping  off                              visitors section with a sign above indicating the guest seating.

                                    8.  No decorations in aisles or seating area.

 

DUE DATE:                          1.  Backdrops and handrail decorations must be ready for judging BY

                                                10:00 PM on Thursday, October 18 or disqualifications will

                                                result.

                                    3. How it promotes pride and unity of Shorewood.

 

NOTE:  Each class is responsible for cleaning up their seating area and handrails after the assembly!  This includes removal of all props from SW property.
