HC SKIT RULES

THEME: 1. “??????????”
2. Promoting school spirit, pride and unity.

TIME LIMIT: 1. The skits cannot be longer than 7 minutes. Skit prep time (set-up and take-down) is 1 minute maximum! The skits will be timed. Any skit exceding the time limit cannot take 1st place.

COST LIMIT: 1. No more than $100 may be spent for rental or purchase of props(This money comes out of your class account). No receipt can exceed $50 for reimbursement purposes.

OTHER LIMITS: 1. Props cannot hang from the ceiling.
2. No Motorized vehicles.
3. No rope swings.
4. The floor cannot be marked.

APPROVAL: 1. Skits must be approved (by your advisor before the dress rehearsal) and rehearsed
before class advisors, the activity coordinator, and
selected ASB officers on Thursday, Oct. 9th . Final
dress rehearsals are in the gym. All “props” &
"music"must be available for the dress rehearsal.
Freshmen 9:00am-9:30
Sophomores 9:30-10:00
Juniors 10:00-10:30
Seniors 10:30-11:00

JUDGING: 1. Creativity
2. Originality.
3. Staging (action, appeal, finesse) and minimum prep time.
4. How well it ties into the theme.
5. How well it positively promotes school unity, pride and spirit.
6. Incorporation of all class characters (see backdrop rules 'Backdrop Judging' #2).
7. Points will be deducted for any “put-downs”, inappropriate material , not being prepared for
rehearsal, or exceeding the time limit.
