1st Annual Shorewood Alumni Basketball Tournament Sat. August 29th Sun. August 30th

Shorewood High School Gym

Here are the nuts and bolts. We hope you join us for a fun weekend! Registration deadline: Friday August 14th 2009 (earlier if possible). This includes entry forms, waivers, and entry fees for each player (payable to: Shorewood High School). Here are the rules. This is a fundraiser so you can donate more if you'd like.

  1. Entry Fee: $20.00 per player.
  2. NO PRIOR HIGHSCHOOL BASKETBALL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
  3. Teams should represent alumni from the same graduating year/class.  There is a five player minimum per team.  Exceptions may be allowed in order to meet the 5 player minimum.  Multiple teams can represent the same class/year.
  4. YES, YOU MAY REGISTER AS AN INDIVIDUAL AND WE WILL PLACE YOU WITH A TEAM.
  5. There are two divisions for team play.  The “Green Beer Division” will represent those teams interested in (swimming with their shirts on) recreational play.  The “Blue Gatorade Division” will be (working on their tans) competitive play.   Each team can enter the division of their choice.
  6. Each team must designate a team captain.  Team captains will need to collect the said forms and entry fees of their team participants.
  7.  Teams should come up with a name and some type of matching jerseys.  Shirts of the same matching color will suffice (bring a light and dark shirt).  Jerseys do not need to have numbers.  Numbers will be designated for the score sheet at time of play.
  8. Don’t abuse any conduct rules. Respect each other and the volunteer referees etc…basically just act like an adult.  It’s not the NBA finals (but close) so just have fun.
  9. Mail, or email registrations to Alec Whittle 2564 26th Ave. W. Seattle, Wa. 98199 206 355 2519 Tbird.hoops@gmail.com. If you mail your forms please include your email address so I can send you the schedule close to tournament time. You may have to play three games in one day to get everything in.
