How do I get a library card?

Your Shorewood Library barcode is on the back of your student body identification card.
Please bring your identification card every time you plan to use the library.


How do I get internet access in the library?

You and your parent/guardian read, agree and sign a Shoreline district policy of student use.
When that is turned in to the library staff you will receive a sticker to put on your student ID card. You may be asked to show your sticker when using the internet in the library.


Can I check out audio visual equipment and computers to take off campus?

You and your parent/guardian read, agree and sign a purple Home Use permission slip.
The first time you use equipment your parent/guardian is required to talk with the building technician regarding the equipment for checkout.


How long can I keep items from the library?

Most items can be checked out for three weeks.
Some collections, such as career books, can only be kept for one week. Reference books are either for overnight only or not for checkout. Please talk to the librarians if you have special needs for resources.


Do you charge late fines?

No.

Can I check out items if I have overdues on my record?

No, you must return or bring in the overdue items in order to renew or check out more resources.
